Sorry, I stood you up
I needed to get my story straight,
why I missed our first date.
From a distant I watched that night,
too scared by your beauties sight.
I quickly swerved to avoid your eyes,
I didn't want to tell you any lies.
When I saw you in that beautiful way,
I feared the wrong things I would say.
Second guessed the needed steps to take,
instead I walked away, became another mistake.
Turned around through the wrong door,
just like many times I've done before.
The story, it is always the same,
It's always my fault, I'm to blame.
Your pedestal is tall and you stand above,
don't let me get in the way of you finding love.
Goodbye
I will never ask for forgiveness's hand,
never expect the afterlife we planned.
Between the atoms, no light has shined,
in-between the lives with no mind.
There together we can survive,
I'll wait there for you too arrive.
Goodbye
