Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

I used to sing the song of the bluebird
Hoping to have a relationship
Filled with love and companionship;
But this artist failed at love.
There is hope in failure
Just as there is hope
That when a candle
Is therein snuffed,
Light becomes
Total
Dark.

A beautiful write that at first sight offers a conundrum as to how snuffing out light and becoming total dark can be desired. After all is not light symbolic of knowledge? Ah but yes if there is not knowledge they say ignorance is bliss. Never having known love one could not miss it. But there is more. The light signifies the union of all spectrums and in this unity is knowledge and unity but also in the union of all pigments there is black not only the symbol of ignorance and murkiness but also in unity there is company and acceptance. It is black that absorbs all light and they become one. How is that for a cornball review?
Not cornball at all. I was, indeed, playing with light and darkness and flipping what one expects to hear/read on its head. In doing so, I believed it would open up though about the interplay between light and darkness and how what seems to be a conundrum on first read, becomes deep and profound. So, actually, you're review is not cornball at all, but made my day. Thank you again, my friend. Glad the poem delivered! β€οΈπ
I note all the write boxes have been ticked off and I hope appropriately reminded not to play with the light in future .. Oh' & yes indeed my dear friend, Darkness does become you & you are a credit to it .. Neville
Well, that's enough to make the cheeks on any goth turn black. I'm blushing over here! Thank you so much, my friend, for your time and feedback. I am humbled by your words of encouragement and extremely grateful! πβ€οΈ

Thank you, Tony!!! β€οΈπ
You're welcome
Turn that light on there! lol.
But what if I don't want to? π€ͺ I appreciate your time and feedback, my friend!
You will stumble and fall in the dark!
Well, that explains it! LOL!
The dark absorbs everything but that candle can be relit, really enjoyable and dark read
Indeed. And yes, the candle can be relit! Astute observation. Thank you so much for your time and feedback, my friend!
You are very welcome
Oh, medium dot com, havenβt gotten back to that; thereβs a hope not regretted. The darkness glows. ππ»ποΈ
Yeah, I coexist on here, there, and Poetizer. MPS is by far my favorite of the poetry communities I am involved in, but I've met some really cool peeps there, too! Thank you for your time and your thoughts, my friend! β€οΈπ
Your short poem evokes much thought and feeling. Donβt we all hope we are like the bluebird with a relationship filled with love and companionship? People fail at love. It happens. It doesnβt mean that there is no hope for the future. Darkness and light, we need them both. Just my thoughts on your poem Tristen. Good to see a post again from you. You were missed.
Aww. Thank you Cassie. It feels good to be missed. π€ Then again, just about anything feels better than what I just had! π€£π€§π± Nothing more than a nasty cold, but man, it made you feel like you were a poster child for (in my US context) the CDC! π€£ I always appreciate your thoughts, my friend. Thank you so much for your time in sharing them! β€οΈπ
