Unending Love

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

When a mother first holds her child. She learns part of her purpose. The next few years will be her best for a while. A new love; one she’s never known before. Overtakes her heart forevermore. When a father first holds his baby boy; there’s a sense of pride; and overwhelming joy. When he first holds his daughter, there’s a shift within him. Now comes a whole new level of protection. Parents don’t always get it right. Mistakes are often made. We try even harder. Whatever it takes. A mother has a sixth sense that comes alive. It tells her when something isn’t quite right. A dad lets loose the child inside; still laying down the rules with his wife by his side. Parents try their best to do right by their kids. Knowing all the while time is precious. There’s an unending amount of love between a mother and child; even when you’re apart for a while. So we may get it wrong as nothing is perfect; in the end being a mother or father is worth it.
