Moonlight stories: a letter to Aconite

Li Yanmey

I found my soul in you,

In a broken girl with a birthmark on the cheek.

I found my soul in you.

In blue-grey eyes that look at me with love.

I found my soul in you.

Don’t run away; I’ll heal you if you let me.

I found my soul in you.

I hope you found your soul in me, too.

I write this letter in the night. Can’t sleep.

I think about the past and our future.

Time is cruel; time is always changing,

But I will try to turn him back again.

Sometimes I see your shadow in the mirror,

Sometimes I hear your voice in illness dreams.

I wanna believe you’re waiting for me tonight

Because I do my best to find the exit from this hell.

Maybe the Universe will be generous and merciful.

And I will meet you at the gate by the Other Side.

I promise you will never be alone

When my demons let me leave my cage of horrors.

With love,

Always yours,

Ash Orchid
