ANOTHER MILE

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

I remember you
When others
Have forgotten
That sweet smile
Lifes journey
One more mile.

When others
Memory fades
I recall
In passing shade
Of Summers hand
The old bandstand.

Now no longer there
That perfumed air
Of teenage years
Laughter tears
Telling jokes
Sharing smokes.

So long ago
I hope you know
No matter how
Or where
I remember
That sweet
Sweet smile
On one more mile.

Memory fades slowly and once imprinted carries its mark. A wistful and nostalgic write that pulls at the heart. Lovely
