Humility is Our Hope

James Michael

Winds are blowing from the East.

Hardship and misery prevailing.

A Great Storm is on the rise.

Tormented souls are crying out.

Fearless leaders are on the attack.

Heartless and indignant rulers

dominating a game of greed.

Threats of a Great War at the fore.

All humanity searching for peace.

Humility is our hope.

Hope for a peaceful outcome concerning future events has become scarce.

Some scoff, though it is the humble/meek that will inherit the earth - somehow. Good write JM.

I find it most interesting that Human and Humility start the same as words but they don't end up the same. A great write of the disgust we all feel with the present state of things.

Humane is another word that comes to mind. Thanks for your honest comment..

I feel it too, it's a dark dark time for our world, when it's run by dictators we must all stand together and protest. I cannot believe what I see on the world's platform news and social media, actually incredibly sad. Great poem. 🌹

I’m afraid this mess will not end peacefully. We will be screaming at a wall protesting. Anger is a dominant factor currently.
