A love for stone

NDOU ROLIVHUWA

Notice of absence from NDOU ROLIVHUWA
Hello, I'm currently residing in a rural area with limited internet access. I rely on my prepaid data plan to stay connected, and I'm running low on data. As a result, I'll be temporarily unavailable until I can replenish my data or access a stable WiFi connection. Thank you for your understanding!

I think of you day and night

You shine so bright, a beautiful light

In my life, you've shown me the way

But no matter how I care, you don't stay

I've shown you love, but you don't see

My heart beats for you, but you're not me

Come live in my mind, it's a peaceful place

I'll keep you smiling, with a warm and loving space

But it's hard to love you, when you're like a stone

No heart, no mind, no eyes to call your own

You don't feel my love, you don't hear my voice

It's exhausting to love you, with no joyful choice.

It is most difficult living with a fantasy that is never confirmed and all that is needed is to reach out and ask. The worst is rejection and the best fulfillment. This poem speaks of all the emotion of passion and blooming love that is unrequited. Good rhyme helps the mood and the meter is good as well. Nicely done

Thank you for your insightful and thoughtful words! You've perfectly captured the essence of the poem, and I'm grateful for your understanding. You're right, the uncertainty of unrequited love can be daunting, but taking that risk can lead to either heartbreak or profound connection. I appreciate your kind words about the rhyme, meter, and mood – it means a lot to me!
