Li Yanmey

I created you in my broken mind;

I saw you in my horror dreams.

Fallen angel, will you stay by my side?

In your hazel eyes, I can see the pain;

on your tattooed arm—strips of scars.

But the black wings on your back tell me more.

Find me through all these times and spaces;

tell me words that I've never heard.

Let me be your protector and angel.

A long time you were an angel for others;

a long time you hid tears behind smiles.

Now let me hear your voice—the voice of finding freedom.

Little Raven, don't shame your weakness.

Little Raven, don't be so scared.

Time to take all the fucking masks off.

Come to me and forget about the horrors

that bring you always the loneliness.

I will hide you; I promise, I can.

I'll become a little star in the sky.

I'll be lightning your way to yourself.

Just let me, little Raven, I beg.

In this world, all the people are blind;

not every one of them can see how much pain is around here.

Close your eyes;

I will sing a lullaby.

Hug me harder and don't be afraid—

I will always be beside your soul.

  • Comment from author about the poem: It\\\'s been 5 months I know him. 5 months of inspiration, fighting with my demons, and... love? I\\\'m almost 30, but I never felt like this before. I never wanted to live or to love. And I\\\'m afraid these feelings will be gone. But despite it, I want to be his guardian angel.

    Hang on to those feelings. There is a great deal of love and concern in your words for a special man. I felt them. I enjoyed reading you today.
