A Dream of Despair
2 Kings 14:26
For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.
I saw the plight, the bitter despair, No help was near, no savior there. My hand reached out, my mercy spoke, To lift the burden, to heal the yoke. In the end it was just smoke, a whift of a dream from a past long broke.
When we give up hope, we shatter the dream. We give away the will to strive and redeem. With God on our side and his spirit within. We can each start the day renewed.
