A wake-up call

Vishakha

There's something about a fading day

that makes me feel at home

And just maybe, maybe we are not so different

and still not so grown

I have my own narrative which I am still holding onto

but I don't have the heart to give it away

But only if I were to tell you, and only if you knew

that even this day yearns to let itself get embraced by you

The moon sometimes appears bigger

as if, telling you- "I'm close"

That even at such distance

it uncovers those marks for you to see what we call flaws

The day is longer than the night

so that even with those happenings, life feels bright

And by the time it gets breezy in the evening

the next moment can still be a good night
