The Ashen Handshake

Abdullah123

The man named Ben from London's Eye
met Klaus from Berlin's wall.
Their meeting did havoc the 2 great
rivers and cities of all.

Hence, they looked upon each other,
the cities' hearts shook in fire.
Their handshake smelt of ash-
their seating made them into ashlike satire.

Yet they were men, quite ordinarily odd,
but at the end of their satanic, tranquil encounter
their smiles of peace were futile-
they had, for return, no home or grave.

Metaphor or literal it has great rhythm and rhyme and the meaning speaks to the heart for peace
