Falling Down

Falling Down

I was walking through the cave,

when suddenly my feet slipped

and the flame went off,

I have been falling since ,

even in light

Dont know its the fear that gripped

or, the heart that's lost.

Love metaphors and this is definitely one. The cave could be many things (darkness, mystery, a birth canal, transformation, protection) the flame (spiritual awakening, passion, cleansing, purification) I take it that the author was in transformation of passion but this went out and even in knowledge of this (light) it is not regained either due to fear or loss of heart. Very nicely felt.
