My Storybook Love

Accidental Poet

It began so long ago

Like mere saplings now tall and strong

A love story passed down through time

Inspiring music and song

Rare it is for a young boy of ten

To know the calling of love

But know he did

When he was falling in love

How she stole his heart

With only a smile

He saw his virgin heart

Waiting at the end of the aisle

And though it never came to be

His heart already spoken for

A lifetime of loving her

Soon as he opened that door

Happy as can be to be chosen

This gift from above

His life’s greatest treasure

My storybook love

Some things are inescapable. Love can be a double-edged sword. Love lives in the heart, whether our loved one is beside us or not!

              • Accidental Poet

Thank you Robert, Sharon is not beside me, I haven't seen her in 54 years since the end of 8th grade when she moved to Los Angeles, California. But the impact she had on me was life altering. 🌹

I find it totally adorable that you still love your childhood sweetheart with such devotion. You are a true romantic AP. A rose for you and your Sharon 🌹. Have a beautiful Sunday.

Thank you Cassie. Thats how I came to the realization:

Many a man scoffs at the thought of being a romantic,
but love for one woman will be his biggest weakness
while also his greatest strength. 🌹

Thanks N, Since Sharon is the inspiration, I would hope she won't mind if I blame her. 🌹❀️
