His Sense Of Humour

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Haha! I can surely see it,
Initially didn't wanna be it.
From agnostic to a believer,
Seriously, God's no rumour,
He and his sense of humour.
Car issues, long journey the next day,
No sleep, in my bed I'd pray and pray.
Arrived at Norcroft Guest House fine,
Let me try an afternoon kip this time.
No luck, my head under attack again,
Must never allow these demons to win.
I had a few pints in the evening and food alone,
A friend in trouble on the other side of a phone.
My mind was so groggy, like riding a helter-skelter,
Voiced my concerns, tried my best to just help her.
Early back to my room, slept like a baby that night,
I was laughing with the Lord, I didn't want to fight.

Love the topic of this poem. If there is a god he/she definitely has a sense of humor for all the ironic things that happen. Cosmic humor is usually dark and the best kind. Loved it
