Tears icicled

Tommy B Goode

your eyes were cold

and tears icicled

down stone cheeks

your bitter heart bled

all the misery from

gaping wounds that

would never heal,

goodbye forever...

I hear anger and pain in this poem. It is sad.

    • Tommy B Goode

A poem of much pain and hurt at the loss of someone, nicely expressed

Thank you for your kind words and reply.
I seem to be able to write best about pain and hurt, at least in my more poetic works.
I can also write in the light verse genre pretty well with humour.

Never forever, bitter miseries on stoned icy cheeks. Quite a finality Tom! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•Š

            Thanks for your reply.
I sometimes like to end my poems with a crude or hard sentence to give the entire poem a more powerful feeling.
In this case the finality of it not ending well.

            • arqios

That is a really solid ending! Good choiceπŸ™πŸ»πŸ•Š
