Grief is hard
It is inexorable
And onerous
And an incessant reminder
Of the void in our lives
Grief is painful
Physical pain
Within our thorax
Reminding us
That our hearts have splintered
Grief is exhausting
It takes everything
To keep giving
Day after day
To live for our loved ones
Grief is isolating
We feel forlorn
As if not a soul understands
As though we are drowning
And no one notices
That we don't know how to swim
Grief is scary
The notions in our pates
Get dark and real
They all just tell us, "just let go"
As if no one would care
If we slipped away
But we are not forlorn
So many others know of this pain
Feel this void, too
So, say their name
Tell the stories
Of those you've loved and lost
Tell me about your person
And beam from the wonderful memoirs
Pray for their absence
You are safe to grieve here
We are not forlorn
We are not forlorn
We are not
Forlorn

Grief comes to us all at one time or another. Pain is part of life and no we are not forlorn. Good write
Thank you for the comment and also thank you for taking your time to read my work
Sadly we all experience grief at one time or another and it is a powerful emotion, difficult to deal with at times, however we are not forlorn, nicely expressed and written
