Sonder Eyes

L_19

Sonder The realization that each passerby Is living a life as vivid and complex as mine. Their stories unfolding, Unseen, unheard, Yet radically real. My egocentric masquerade crumbles, Revealing a humbling truth I am neither important nor special, Not the Protagonist in others narratives.  I am but an reflection of my past, Standing at the present, Awaiting the actions that will start my future. I delude myself, Believing my thoughts and dreams script my destiny, That I alone choose the path ahead. But in this vast tapestry, I am one piece among many a single strain, Connected piece apart of a whole.

We are all a piece of a whole a cell in a body, an atom in a universe. As such we serve our function in a universal relationship. A lovely poem that goes apart from autonomy to unity. Yet in all we are separate in ourselves made up as well by smaller parts. An existential poem of being and who we are. Lovely
