An ode to love

enigma747

It's like I'm looking for water in my dune of a life

And no matter what I do in love

Drowning in self hate in a drought of love

Love the biggest conundrum of all

Pond of possibility

Ponder it's reliability

Miracle or mere mirage

Divine intervention or facade

Curveballs in my loop of a life

God's tangent got me jumping through hoops to pass by

But fate loves irony after all

Biggest irony of all the oracle spoke

End of my odyssey in awe I thought

But only the abyss marks it's end

So shall I stop to fend?

Your wording makes this poem, word choice and juxtaposition are wonderful. Dark and pessimistic it speaks to many. Loved it

An interesting write slightly on the pessimistic side with a a dark undercurrent, yet it is enjoyable to read and a lot of people will relate to it
