At home

Caring dove

Sometimes we’re in one place

when we wish to be in another

like a flower in a field

by other flowers

wishing to be in that field over there

in the distance

with those flowers she can connect to with more ease

yet sometimes she just has to be here

and there the feeling of not feeling at home

because of missing those we can connect to with more ease

a sense of being a bit out of place

a bit lost

something isn’t feeling right

a place to live in yet it doesn’t always feel like home

standing where I am

feeling a bit adrift

lost

missing those we used to see more

standing in one spot

feeling lost and adrift

home isn’t just where you live

sometimes it’s more other people

home isn’t always where you live or used to live

sometimes it’s near to those you are missing

Thankyou )) yes , it is .. but sometimes when Iโ€™m missing people I can just feel a bit lonely and sad . I used to live with my twin sister .. o donโ€™t see her as much as Iโ€™d like so sometimes that makes me a bit sad .

Thanks so much for the kind comment

A feeling that many have so nicely captured in this metaphor and explained as well. A most elucidating poem.

This is a very relatable feeling and poem. Well expressed, my friend! Indeed, much wisdom in this one! ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ‘
