A shield of silence

anabasova

Right now all I can do
Is spit words out of fire
And I try to make them as strong
As I always thought they were
But for the first time in my life
They aren't even close to enough
They loop back and hit me in the head
This amount of sadness crushes the brave
So while we wrestle with reality
In all of its violence
All I've found, what works for me
Is drowning in silence.

Water and fire quite the combination only lack earth and air to be complete. The poem speaks to me of the heat of words and the need to quench the fire within. Silence is that water. Nicely done

The world is too crazy as is and we need silence. Thank you.

Sometimes when the anger is raging it is best to take a step back, relax and keep quiet, enjoyed the read

Yes, anger burns us out really fast. Thank you.
