If I give you
today
Will you give up
tomorrow
If I ask
you to wander
Can direction
be saved
If I say
that I love you
Will the words
meld the seasons
If I surrender
this moment
Can forever
— be gone

As the song of Me and Bobbie McGee says I would trade all of my tomorrows for a single yesterday. Great poem Kurt
Thanks, Kristofferson was the best.
Ooh! Nice! I love the juxtapositions in this today vs tomorrow, wandering (directionless) vs having direction, loving words vs the all the seasons of life (including those times loving words are hard to find), moment vs. forever. This is a really powerful and profound poem. You keep writing faves and so I keep faving! Well done, Kurt! 🌹👏
Very kind, TR. I'm so appreciative.
You're welcome, Kurt! Hope you had a great weekend!
