We smiled with a "hello" and a friendly greet
Ignoring and lying both, and hiding woes
Hearing the silent footsteps of our shadows

Only four lines to convey the falseness of social conventions and how cursory the pleasantries of society are. Very well done a fave
I love this, highlighting how false and blinkered society can be, nicely done
Excellent write
