Who can
How can
One perceive
With atavaric ease
Every desire of their heart
As ripe grain, golden
Already to harvest?

This poem poses the question of foreseeing the unseen. Only with unbiased eyes that are lovingly sensitive to all stimuli could this be. An Avatar but the word Atavaric became a cloud obscuring my vision. Wisdom in a few lines that still remains obscure. Very nice S.A.
I like this comment!
Wonderful poem. I am presuming by "Atavaric", you are meaning atavistic, defined as primitive, instinctual, or innate? Or I have a new word to learn...and I do love neologisms . 🤣 Either way, the question asked is profoundly thought-provoking and soul searching! Brilliant work. And paired with the title. 🤯 A fave from me, my friend! 🙏🖤🐦⬛
I made up the word “atavaric” (adj. for “avatar”?!)
I’m glad it set off some thought-provoking and soul-searching! Thanks for taking the time to read, reflect and comment, Tristan.
Ah...neologism. Kickin'! And, yes, I was wondering if that was where you were going with it. Love the word, for sure. Thank you for the explanation and, as I said, love this poem! You are most welcome, my friend! Love your work.
A thought provoking write, a little inward thinking needed, enjoyed the read
I owe it all to Mr.N.G!
Thanks for commenting.
You are very welcome
The idea of "going against the grain" could be suggestive of questioning the ease with which one might assume their desires are readily fulfilled—a challenge to perceive beyond surface simplicity. 🙏🏻🕊
