My "American" dream

Everyone's contemporary dream is to be rich and famous but I just want to be a chill guy,
The American dream has crossed borders even to those that probably never will fly,
Clamouring for a penthouse in some high flat with some weed in the balcony to be high,
But all I yearn for is to make a difference through carrying a tonne of weight in my lil lines,
Give voice to the voiceless, render hope to the hopeless even if they don't see why,
To call out menacing political juggernauts signing off dodgy deals,honestly Willy why?
To advocate for mother nature wipe her tears because lately there's no difference between the words live die,
When I started I thought it was all about the accolades but I'm now certain it's about making the world a better place to live life,
Their happiness is my happiness, the uttermost joy is for everyone to be fine...
