A Game of Chance

Meagan Adelle

I've always said love was simple, but I’ve never said it was easy or that it stays.
We hope it stays.
We hope it flows with ease.
We hope the timing is right and we hope we don’t get hurt.
We also, hopefully, hope that we don’t hurt another.
We hold hope that as we grow they will grow with us and vice versa.
We hope that light and life in their eyes when they look at us never leaves.
We hope they become everything they want to be.

We hope they’ll take a chance on us. And we hope they’ll keep taking that chance day by day.
Love is always by chance.
You can’t force it.
You can’t predict it.
You can’t choose who you fall in love with and you can’t choose their circumstances or your own when it happens.
You can only hope it lines up.
You can only hope that they’ll take a chance on you and that you’ll become the greatest thing they’ve ever taken a chance on.

Love is a game of chance.
So do you roll the dice?

Or do you stay safe?

True love will just happen often by chance from somewhere you never expected, then you have to love and look after the love, enjoyed the read

So many definitions of love. Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved. All a matter of opinion and to each their own. Great love can bring great pain. A thought provoking and most lovely write.
