You were always more monster than woman
Always more Jekyll than Hyde
More illness instead of medicine
You were good at hiding that, though
You showed me just the right amount of lamb,
So that when you were a wolf,
I would be devoured and never notice it,
sharp teeth feeling like gentle caresses
And just when I noticed my blood on your hands,
the lamb would come back out,
And with silver tounge would lie to me until I believed what it said
Surely this little lamb would never hurt me, right?
but you were no lamb
you were never a lamb to begin with
You were always that same wolf,
Just with lambs skin
And when I finally realized that
I was already eaten up
And when I looked over at you, I saw no remorse
Only indifference
As you sat there and you licked your lips,
you looked at me as if I was merely your prey, not your companion
you were always more monster than woman

Appears to be a strong passionate write about the suffering of in a relationship, a sense of anger and sadness in the write, nicely expressed
Frightening and all too true for many relationships built on control. A fairy tale or maybe not all the point of view. A powerful write
