Glory and acclamation.

David Wakeling

I am not as able as you. You are better than I am.
I do not have the talent my ability is a sham.
I cannot jump the high hurdle.
You can jump the high hurdle.
So you are better than I am.

I cannot swim the English Channel or climb Mount Everest.
I cannot find get down the cliff to the Eagle’s nest.
I cannot climb that high
You can climb that high.
You are better than I am.

Perhaps I am only here to announce your achievements.
Without me your achievements go unnoticed.
Maybe I am supposed to inspire sympathy in you.
Without me you lack sympathy and you lack Glory.
We need each other. We need to compliment each other.
My inability is the way you become better than me.
It is Glory and Acclamation that brings us together.

A poem that emphasizes that we all have a part and place. Nicely written David. In unity may we all find our place and work together.
