What if?

Poet's Dream

What if we didn't think so bad?

What if everyone had decent moms and dads?

What if our economy wasn't so catastrophic?

What if we actually lived?

Instead of whatever we're doing now!

What if we threw some love around?

Instead of firing bullets in someone else's mouth!

What if the icebergs weren't melting?

What if the people were fixing the mess they made?

What if adults and children were happy?

Instead of working till their in the grave.

What if the sea was clear?

What if the government banned wine and beer?

What if politicians were honest?

What if we always kept our promise?

What if life was better?

Could it ever be?

That's up to you

Thats up to me

The power is definitely with the people!
If only enough of us joined together.
    There’s always hope!

Ah this is a wonderful poem so well set up with seemingly impossible tasks and possibilities that are thrown back into the readers lap as a personal decision. Loved it a fave.

Politicians honest? On this planet? Wouldn't that be nice? Excellent write. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
