SORDID
Sordid thoughts beguile weak minded men
Sordid actions betray those who pretend
Sordid details play out on the nightly news
Sordid stories told by those who strum the blues
It is a sordid world that we have come to know
And from sordid seeds our family trees do grow
Producing sordid fruit to feed our sordid soul
While sordid masters exert sordid control
Soon all sordid societies will all be sorted out
Sordid separations will end suspicious doubt
With sordid sanctioned, sound will rule the day
And all our sordid notions will slip silently away

I am usually quite picky about the reuse of words in a poem but this is an exception due to the emphasis the use of the word puts on the meaning of the poem. Well worded and rhymed it has a strong message that is well sent. A fave
Wouldn't it be wonderful if sordid was censored and sanctioned, what a better world it would be, enjoyed the read
