Mistakes between the sheets
Crumpled bed, the aftermath
Nothing got through the barrier of mind
An empty stadium after the match
Room reeks of spent passion
Walls seem to close in
No image captured in the camera of mind
Only a strange regret for giving in
In search of human warmth
Burned bright when bodies met
Mind remained frozen
Like unperturbed Siberian lake
Another line in the list of mistakes
Mind heavier with another regret
Moving on, in search of something new
Quest is on day and night
Perhaps someday I shall find You
The You, who puncture my dreams
The You, who let the world to see Me
The You, who makes me want to go on
The You, whose search I can never abandon

Trial and error in search of perfection is a long road with many bumps and holes. The quest for the holy grail comes to mind somehow. I too look for buried treasure and once in a while find a penny or two on the road. Great write my friend.

The search for perfection is long and windy and, truthfully, and the destination is elusive as all hell. What a beautiful metaphor, beautifully penned, my friend! 🌹👏 A fave for sure.

You're welcome
I've maybe not grieved enough over someone, yet they were not physically with us in the home for their last month or so, and so we were prepared for whatever was to happen.
Thank you very much for stopping by and for sharing your thoughts. Appreciate your support 🙏
