The Flicker Of Hope

Hargun Kaur

There comes a time in life
Where you don't know what to feel
There is no way out,
There is no way to heal.

The silence grows loud,
A shadow cloaked in doubt.
Questions haunt the mind,
Answers never come about.

The weight of the unseen,
Constantly scares the soul,
You search for fragments
To make yourself whole.

But through the haze,
A flicker may appear,
A whisper of hope,
A voice you barely hear.

Hold on to that light,
Though fragile and small,
For even in darkness,
It answers the call.

Hope is the last thing to die they say and so in this poem as well. A plea to hold on. Lovely
