A sapling on a roadside
has seen days of drought
days of storm
has its roots plunged deep into the soil holding every bit of it.
The sapling had grown into a wild unshakable tree
With trunk has hard as mountain
Tree that had become home to hopeless birds
Yet under a constant threat of cut down
Just because it simply does not belong there or anywhere else left unguarded
just all alone
Oh my great lord , will the tree ever be protected and nourished with love?

A well written around the survival of the tree but could also apply to people, especially children, enjoyed the read
Thank you
You are very welcome
A plea for love and being cared for in metaphor is at the root of this poem. Nicely written
