A GENTLE SOUL

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

A gentle soul
Amidst the fire
Lost in life
In highways shadow
Wanders aimless
Unable to grasp
What others
Take for granted.

The hours, moments
Upon a wish
Pass with haste
A dying kiss
An eye to blink
Or look away
A velvet touch
Of a passing day.

This life
Not one chosen
No bitterness
Nothing stolen
A gentle soul
Amidst the fire
Lost in life
In highways shadow.
