Double-Edged Feeling

Rosiii ;)

I would adore writing about it.

The heart-pounding feeling that doesn’t leave your stomach,

Which is at the same time exhilarating yet destructive.

All those thrills you can’t even begin to sum up,

Just hoping it leads you on the right side of the road...

The feeling when you finally know,

You found the one, the last piece you were missing.

Like a real explosion that doesn’t hurt though,

That feels more soothing than ravaging.

A warm wave that will never leave you cold.

If one day, you’re suddenly stranded in a sea of emptiness,

Abandoned with nothing left and you can no longer run.

Either you’ll always have this weight on your chest,

Either you’ll start climbing the stairs one by one.

No regrets you’ll have tried to crack the code...

Neither of us until now realized,

That I wasn’t writing about a harmless stone.

But about a literal weapon in disguise,

The deadliest that suck you until the bone.

Because I never really knew what love was like.
