Tailspin
04/04/2025
I think the hardest part
the part that hurts the most
Is how much I love you.
How you could toss us aside?
Was it your image?
Or was it your pride?
I’m stuck in a tailspin
And I can’t get back in control
My vision blurry
The gravity relentless.
What a poor tortured soul
All that’s left an empty core
Full of anger and resentment
And I don’t have enough left
To give you all the love
A broken heart
That’s what this is
I hate you but I love you
A brothers love is a brothers love
And I’ll never see you again.
I’m stuck in a tailspin
And I can’t get back in control
My vision blurry
The gravity relentless
What a poor tortured soul.
Call me naive
For believing there was good left in you
Or at least in part
I’m embarrassed for caring as much
But it’s because of love
That’s all it ever was
But now enjoy the silence
I know it rips you apart
The anxiety and the worry
I’m sure you’ve tried to hide it
You wear that mask
Always have, always will
I’m stuck in a tailspin
And I can’t get back in control
My vision blurry
The gravity relentless
One brother died, the other lived
We can’t go back to who we were

The difficulties that can arise in close relationships, siblings or otherwise. Sometimes those difficulties can never be resolved as we cannot turn the clocks back, but it doesn't stop it hurting or you loving them, touching and well written write
