WHILE I CRY

DEBIH MARTIN

IF I CRIED, WOULD IT HEAL THE PAIN IN US

WOULD IT BREAK THE CURSE IN US

OR WOULD IT BLEED THE WOUND YOU CAUSED

IF I LOVE YOU WAS A PROMISE

WOULD YOU BREAK IT IF YOURE HONEST

OR WOULD YOU KEEP IT FOR THE MOMENT

WE DONT HAVE MEMORIES AND YOU KNOW IT

NOT EVEN LAGACIES TO ASSUME IT

JUST A LITTLE DRAMA OFCOURSE WE HAD IT... DRAMA!!!

WE JUST HAVE LUST WHATS THERE TO BREAK IT

YES IT WAS LUST THE PERFECT INFATUATION

GUIDED BY A GOLDEN INTONATION

FILLS IN HEART WITH PAIN AND FALSE INFORMATION

BREAK IT,

YOU BROKE IT,

ITS BROKEN

SHARTTERED,

UNSHELTERED,

SCATTERED,

WHATS LEFT TO HEAL? NOTHING!!!

JUST SIT AND WATCH ME WHILE I CRY

Passion or infatuation is often mistaken for love and as it melts it leaves nothing behind but smoke and melted melted wax where a candle once burned. Nicely written.

That’s a kind of heartbreak that resonates. Very relatable🙏🏻🕊️

So easily and often confused with each other but have the same outcome, pain and heartbreak, nicely expressed and written
