the way You love me

gray0328

father you hold my heart tenderly

your hands are strong yet gentle always

every scar i carry feels lighter now

every ache soothed by your endless care

when i forget how to love others

you remind me love is like water

freely given without expectation or return

a steady flow that cleanses heavy souls

you have taught my heart patience daily

how to see the world without judgment

how to forgive when the wounds still burn

how to give when i have very little

father let your love move through me

teach me to hold others the same way

cover everyone i meet with quiet grace

help me love the way you love me

A wonderful line that love is to be given as water is freely without the expectation of return. Lovely. A wonderful poem
