Toxic

tkatie118

David:

My lover is desperate,

She’s the bike that men ride,

Is as toxic as the sunrise

Of love, she said she’s deprived

Wears a cross around her neck,

“Peace and love’s,” what she said,

On her head’s irresistible blonde hair

And blue eyes into which men will stare

Her heart is toxic, you’ll hear us say it,

And she’ll be sent to hell

She’s liberty,

I’ll worship her pain,

So she will open her legs

I will settle her sin with the devil in bed

Offer her no chance to pray,

It won’t send the sinners away

She’s liberty,

I’ll worship her pain,

So darling open your legs,

I will settle your sin with the devil in bed

Closer Cindy,

My girl, let me straddle your sins

Cindy:

I know me and David can make it,

To me, he’s my painless,

My chance for a life, I will take it

And my children,

He dearly loves them

He belongs with me…

I’m his only little lady,

And he’s my sunrise to safety

My heart is toxic, I’ve heard them say it,

But he don’t think like them

I’m liberty,

I’ll worship my pain

‘Til I can settle my lies,

I’ll hide us away, although it kills me inside

I know he will put us first,

And then we will make our escape

Take me away,

I’m a someone when I battle my sins,

With my king at my side,

Head of my house,

Love, he doesn’t deprive

He’s a fairytale that’s come to life,

I’m getting true love

He’s mesmerised and contorted,

A sad, conformed earthly seed,

In which through him I am growing,

And through him, I am clean…

I’m liberty,

(David: She’s liberty, I’ll worship her pain,)

I’ll hide us away, although it kills me inside,

(Both): Offer no-one no chance to pray,

            We’re the sinners,

(David): They will send her away,

(Cindy): I’m liberty, so darling I will open my legs,
And let you straddle my sins,
I will do what it takes to keep you safely with me,
You mesmerise, and contort my heart,

Good God, let me love you in peace

    Hello,

In many ways hence the title I am seeing a lot of double meanings reflected within your words. What I liked is that there was a story being created of a woman who is seemingly free spirited but seems bound by a love that seems chained to her. It reminded me of some of the tarot cards. Love is not lust and lust is not love so even in her liberty there are still sacrifices to be made. There are many people who are in love with lust or with love though they do not love from or with their heart. A well written piece

Sex will entice any promise and exact any price. Promises of regret. A sad poem. Nicely done
