A good life

What is the definition of a good life?
Being tied down to family and a wife?
It's not something that is at all free,
the cost to yourself and who you could be.
Is it the riches at your fingers touch?
or the model of steering wheel your hands clutch?
A good life is one that lets you write,
bringing the thoughts into others sight.
We need not riches or fame to think a thought,
above the "i", "j", and a period is a simple dot.
Society has altered notions of what life needs,
conversations preserved help our ideas concede.
Guide your opinions to something anew,
expand your definitions to know of true.
Allow yourself to become a greater version of good,
and write your life on lines like you should.
