The girl I was

Kiamiz

The girl I was doesn't compare to the girl I am becoming.

The girl I was doesn't compare to the girl I will be.

The girl I was is what I saw in me, until I met the new me.

The new me can see who I'm supposed to be.

The new me has set the old me free.

Thanks be unto God who has made me, me.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Embrace the new you because that is where you will find your purpose. You may be in your caterpillar stage right now, but wait until you experience your butterfly stage... God's going to blow your mind!
