Foolish

Simon:

Of him you said you were bored with,

You played with his head

Manipulate a good man,

Then ran away, ‘cause you’re scared

Commitment doesn’t suit you,

You can’t be a mum,

Rejection only plagues you

You’re as stupid as you look

A mob of golden blonde hair,

Paired with the devil’s blue eyes

You wear that sexy outfit,

And kill yourself inside

You’re holding back from something,

Yet you say you wanna go

You didn’t want to marry him,

What do you want? You don’t know

Should’ve left before you’re too deep,

You played into his hand

If you hadn’t been so blinded,

You may still have a life

Now it’s my arms you’re running into,

‘Cause you’re such a stupid fool

So we went all the way

And your body still feels the same

Then you got yourself hijacked,

Simply blame it on something…

Blame it on the shore,

That won’t drown you in sorrow

Blame it on the rain,

That won’t pour ‘til you’re gone

Run away and hide,

Don’t drown ‘til you can cry

Blame it on the shore,

Or blame it on the rain,

That won’t pour ‘til you’re gone

Cindy:

I ran away, for a while,

Poured a drink, then sat down to cry

Can’t say I’m not a fool,

Oh well,

I’ll blame it on a deserted man

Alone,

Opened my legs, and bent into my sins

Can’t say I’m not a fool,

Oh well,

I’ll blame it on a deserted man

You are the only one I will ever love,

And ever need

I gave up everything I have,

Just to feel good enough,

But then you leave

If on the weatherman I can’t blame my sins for,

Then who do I blame?

I look at your from afar,

But as stronger my feelings for you become,

You look at me, in the same way

Alone, I pine,

Here for you, I sit down myself and cry

Can’t say I’m not a fool,

Who takes an easy path,

I’ll blame it on a deserted man

Will I see your face, ever again,

Looking at me the same?

I’m a stupid fool,

Oh well,

The blame lies on the deserted man

David:

I’m seeing you desperate,

You’re a lover, little bike ride

You’re as toxic as the sunrise

You’re crying, you’re deprived

Of someone who’ll put fun first

Of someone who’ll share the whole world,

So come off it, come join me,

I see the flesh in your tight jeans

Your heart is toxic,

You’ve heard me say it

And off we’ll fall to Hell

Cindy:

Amen, Amen, Amen…

I’m liberty

David:

I’ll worship your pain,

So Cindy open your legs

Cindy:

Let us worship my pain,

So I can settle my lies

David:

I will settle your sins,

With the devil in bed

Cindy:

I will hide us away,

Although it kills me inside

David:

Sin for me as the cross you bare -

Cindy:

My love,

Let me give you my life…

I know me and David can make it,

I’m as sure as with Simon,

Only this time it’s true love

He’s not gonna leave me

My heart is toxic, I’ve heard him say it

Commence me to be free

Amen, Amen, Amen

I’m liberty,

Let me worship my pain,

I’ll finally break up my lies,

I will hide us away,

Although it kills me inside

I will sin as the cross I’ve bared

My love,

Let me give you my life

He has mesmerised and contorted,

A sad, conformed, earthly seed,

In which through him I am growing

And through him, I am clean

I’m beautiful,

I’m beautiful,

Life is beautiful…

I’m liberty,

Mesmerised by my pain,

You have settled my lies

I will hold us apart,

Even though it kills me inside

I’ll sin for you,

As the cross I’ve bared

Good God, let me love you in peace

What happens when one mistakes infatuation for love. Here is a play laid out in a single poem. The passion of emotions and the consequences. Nicely written.
