A lot has come to light since writing the last part,
I've met others who've also grown a new heart.
Mental breakdown to spiritual awakening,
How many more of us is God out there shaking?
There seems to be a lot of similar experiences,
Testimonies from individuals I've come to witness.
Didn't expect to find some form of faith in my 30s,
Truth tastes sweet like chocolate by Hershey's.

This is a most intriguing poem that on the surface feels like a religious awakening but then one has to question how much of this is hidden meaning. It is the last line that gives this thought I have eaten many a Hershey's bar and they do appear sweet to a novice chocolate eater but if compared to real chocolate one will soon see the artificial taste of a Hershey's bar and its inferior quality that is bitter in comparison. The question becomes did the author place this purposely in the poem and if so it gives it a whole different meaning that is jaded and sardonic. Either way a great write
Thank you for reading and no I didn't do that on purpose but see how it can be interpreted that way for sure, thank you.
I live in the state of Hershey! LOL|! A wonderful poem, my friend. Indeed, it is quite thought-provoking. Well done. 🌹👏
