Looking Back

Garth Rakumakoe

Feels like just the other day

through the milky way

of time

leaving the cinema

warm and fuzzy

inside

bow-tied, at you

I smiled

classy, fur coated

crossing the street

how endearing

the music

If only you knew

how perfect

the neon lights

and my affection

at the time was

just over my shoulder

to this day

that my silver age

shall not erase

How time passes so quickly and age inevitably comes on. Very nicely written
