Almond seed

amethyste

Seeing the almond seed,
How it had grown.
What it looked at her?
A little leg…
She would feel surprised.
Before just an object and now?
It was a living being!
Either it had always been a living being?
Either it was not a living being now?
She gazed and gazed at the little leg,
It was a matter of time.
It would become a greenish silhouette,
In flocks and branches.

How interesting that we tend not to see plants as on an equal level with animals and even animals not on an equal level with ourselves. This poem seems to me a plea to see all living things on an equal level. Very nicely done

I got a sense of we are not aware of whats going on all around us and see everything, as we are blinkered in our own world, nicely written and expressed
