My Own

Alex PB

Notice of absence from Alex PB
Writin' more and more poems is my job,
I shall write when Shakespeare is back.

Yes I can hold my own hand,

Yes I can kiss my own hand,

Yes I can hold my own pillow,

But it's not you,

Yes I can talk to myself,

Yes I can go alone,

Yes I can speak to a mirror,

But it's not you,

Yes I can find someone else,

Yes I can meet them,

Yes I can talk to them,

But they just are not you,

Yes I can can hold my own,

Yes I can sleep alone,

Yes I can hold my own hand,

But it's just not you...
