It’s not necessary that he won’t fear the darkness.
It’s not necessary that he won’t find immense strength in extinguishing his two lamps.
People say we live in a male-dominated society,
But why have we forgotten to associate them with society today?
His untold story of the heart
Seems pointless to us.
If he shares his sorrow…
Don't cry like a girl, we say.
Why don’t we want to understand his emotions?
If someone shares their pain, it’s made into a joke.
Boys too are just like girls,
They just don’t show it, but they too need a mother’s comforting embrace,
Just like all of us.
When hurt, he feels pain too,
But he can’t cry — what kind of tragedy is this?
Who knows when that day will come,
When a man will freely speak of his pain.
Who says a man isn’t
afraid of the dark?

We all have our male and female sides in different balance the yin and the yang and this poem echoes that feeling that it is okay to show either side in balance. Nicely done
That's an interesting write in today's world, when society appears to be going against man, also questions what people's perceptions are of a man, we are the same inside as woman, enjoyed the read
