Words

teardrop

The past you say won't go away
I agree but still can pray.
It's not as if I hold things in
I've always got my pad and pen.
Sometimes I share a word or two
In hopes that you will feel them too.
Others I keep locked in deep
Behind this wall of fear I keep
The words I write comfort me
Often setting my mind free.
Making room for once again
To share my thoughts on pad with pen.
Either way, they're all mine
For I write all the time.

A wonderful piece of work that calls to me in that I feel the same way. Poetry is my therapy. The rhyme is very nice as is the meter both of which make the poem flow smoothly. Very nice

The cathartic relief so many people experience in writing poetry and you have expressed so well in this wonderfully composed passage of poetry. Excellent!

      Kind regards,
      Tony.
