Thanks to That Old Sun

Hollow Enigma

Somehow the sun shines on grey broodish eyes
Far away was it born though impossibly here it lies

A light from a time not felt in years.
Gleams in front of me like roman cavalry spears

Memory of quirky hellos that lasted on and forever
Back and forth our minds just always felt together

After ted talks and laughing through all the pain
Trying to be honest but still coming off as sane

Speaking our truth like a machine guns blast
Two zealots daring demons dark was the past

Yeah, good is this feeling close to me it stays
Even in its distance the sun shines its rays

A poem of emotion expressed and feeling good about it. A good read
