The Ultimate Answer

Accidental Poet

Who we are

In this day and age

The time has come

The turning of a page

We’ve come so far

And yet, we’ve just begun

When they finally come forward

A new rising Sun

Never before

In Human history

An answer so relevant

The world’s greatest mystery

Jaws will drop

Coffee cups will hit the floor

Eyes never so open

Wanting to know more

Camera shutters will click

Front page news everywhere

The world stood still

Eyes just stared

Before us

The aliens stand silent

Taking in that moment

The newest of humanities clients

I love this theme dearest A.P I'm not sure that any such Extra terrestrial would like humans though, especially seeing our world as it is today, war, poverty and hate, and so much discrimination not to mention som many who do not respect the beauty and earth that we've been gifted. 👽 I wouldn't mind changing planet at this stage. ❤️

That's one of the ideas of this poem that at realization of meeting aliens, maybe we would change our ways from learning from them. I think aliens would know that some Earthlings understand empathy, but many Humans think it's all about them. A concept I'm sure aliens are unimpressed with. Thank you Teddy 🌹
