Flat line

HollyGolightly

The machine beeps when it's green

The machine beeps louder when it's yellow

The machine beeps longer when it's red

The red is longer, it's numbing

Days, weeks who knows how long I'll be flat lining for

When I'm in the red even the disturbing becomes less so

Darkness feels comforting

Hell feels comforting

Searching for a darkness to feel

It doesn't work

See many people are in the yellow a lot of the time

I'm either green or red

Red goes on longer

Sounds louder

Green is short lived

I wish I could be in the yellow

But that's something I'll never be

Unconscious, numb, there is seldom pain in the red just numbness. I have seen the red and there is nothing wrong with it but it is not alive. Lovely piece wishing you a speedy recovery to yellow then green
